The Model-based Systems Engineer role(s) requires candidates to have three (3) or more years of professional experience supporting MBSE.

Additional Requirements & Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, operations, research, or other data science discipline.

– Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required – U.S. Citizenship is required.

– Familiarity with MBSE principles and SysML.

– Experience supporting cross-platform collaboration using MBSE and/or digital environments.

– Experience with developing DoDAF models and viewpoints.

– Must be a quick learner who adapts easily to frequently changing requirements and thrives in an exciting environment.

Desired Skills

– Experience developing System of Systems (SoS) architectures

– Knowledge of US Navy programs and architectures

– Experience supporting cross-SYSCOM engineering efforts

– Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and Teamwork Cloud

– Knowledge of tactical data links

– Exercise independent judgment and work autonomously with minimal supervision

– Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues

Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to:

– Works as part of a team supporting the program office in developing enterprise architectures.

– Develops DoDAF Viewpoints including Operational and System Views.

– Documents physical and logical components of architecture in models.

– Supports modeling efforts across the acquisition lifecycle.

– Supports integration of architectures with existing models and tools where applicable.

– Adheres to existing project SysML style guidance.

– Contributes to the development of digital threads across engineering and management activities.

– Participates in recurring Technical Exchange Meetings to align model development with project milestones and requirements.

– Prepares technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address model development status.

– Works independently with minimal supervision/oversight in a team environment.

Work Posture

– Must be committed to working on-site at Kitty Hawk Technologies, partner, or customer facilities in San Diego, California.

Travel

– Some travel may be required for this position (CONUS and OCONUS).
