Kitty Hawk Technologies was recently awarded a $3.4 million contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, to provide digital modeling and simulation, mission engineering, and mission analysis to examine the mission impacts of advanced naval weapons systems on the U.S. Navy. The focus of the effort will be on providing technical insights to the Fleet, development of operational concepts and warfighting tactics, and the provision of analytical products to primary Navy leadership. This effort will also address broader issues facing the Fleet including evaluations of future force structures and ship classes using a combination of analytical process and agent-based tools and will include the analysis of alternatives and support to future shipbuilding plans.
“This is a significant milestone in Kitty Hawk’s history, and it’s gratifying to see that our partners at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren recognize our commitment to their success through our insistence on quality, innovation, and value,” said Dave Suhosky, Kitty Hawk’s President and CEO. “We are proud to be able to contribute to the Navy’s efforts in meeting and overcoming the challenges that they face day-to-day all over the globe. We have a high percentage of veterans in Kitty Hawk, and they join with our entire workforce in recognizing the importance of everything we do on a daily basis.”
