Kitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking a Navy Systems Engineer with five (5) or more years of experience supporting DoD Systems Engineering activities in Dahlgren, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works as part of a team to support a Navy weapon system engineering effort
- Supports the development of systems engineering documentation including Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrices (RTVMs), Configuration Management Plans (CMP), and other systems engineering artifacts
- Supports the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process by preparing for and supporting Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and other events throughout the life cycle of the program
- Leverages model-based systems engineering (MBSE) wherever possible to develop engineering artifacts (requirements, architecture, interfaces)
- Supports Risk Management efforts to identify, analyze, and minimize programmatic and technical risks
- Prepares technical presentations, briefings, and papers to support program status updates to sponsors
