RDER Mission Analyst

Kitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking a RDER Mission Analysis in support of Engineering Analysis/Assessment Services to work in the Dahlgren, Virginia area. The RDER Mission Analyst will provide analysis team support to prototype evaluation activities.

Essential Functions: 

Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to…

  • Works as part of an analysis team to support the analysis of effectiveness of prototypes as part of the Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) program 
  • Contributes to RDER process and schedules development and maintenance
  • Reviews prototype performance characteristics, works closely with industry prototype teams to understand prototype capabilities and limitations, and defines metrics to support analysis requirements
  • Develops Data Collection and Analysis Plans (DCAPs) to capture prototype capabilities, limitations, test objectives, and metrics and associated acceptability criteria and supports review and signature process.
  • Participates in recurring working groups with prototype integration and ops teams
  • Attends Initial (IPC), Mid (MPC), and Final Planning conferences (FPC) in support of prototype analysis objectives
  • Provides on-site support for risk reduction events (RREs) and service events to capture relevant amplifying information, daily logs, and support interaction with the services to conduct surveys and complete questionnaires
  • Supports reach-back lab tool development and analysis of event data
  • Develop post event quick look report (QLR) and Final analysis reports (FARs) and supports briefing to Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) sponsors where applicable.

Kitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer with three (3) or more years of experience with SysML and Cameo System Modeler in support of Engineering Services to work in the Dahlgren, Virginia area.

Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to:
– Works as part of a team to support Navy modeling efforts.
– Develops mission architectures in collaboration with government customers to represent System of System and System interactions.
– Develops system representations using authoritative sources of truth (ASOT) and defines traceability within the model(s) to source data.
– Collaborates with other Navy MBSE projects to support alignment initiatives through common ontology or project usages.
– Maintains configuration management of models using Teamwork Cloud or other project defined CM Process.
– Adheres to existing project SysML, UAF, and project specific style guidance.
– Participates in recurring Technical Exchange Meetings to align model development with project milestones and requirements.
– Participates in MBSE Community of Practice (CoP) to support project alignment to Navy initiatives.
– Prepares technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address model development status.
– Works independently with minimal supervision/oversight in a team environment.

Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance is necessary – U.S. Citizenship is required. 
  • Experience with analysis techniques and statistics.
  • Experience with analysis tools or programming/scripting languages
  • Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate technical data and derive performance metrics
  • Ability to brief program office leadership on prototype status and analysis results

Desired Skills:

  • Two to five years of experience in engineering applied to Navy/Joint warfighting systems
  • Knowledge of Naval Surface Warfare programs and architectures 
  • Experience with test and evaluation (T&E), software engineering, or verification and validation (V&V)
  • Programming skills associated with data collection and analysis
  • Active TS/SCI or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Experience supporting OSD events in an engineering capacity
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues

Travel:

  • Travel is required for this position to include both CONUS and OCONUS locations. 

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
