We have an immediate opening for a Mission Analyst to join our team. This position will provide an opportunity to develop the innovative technology that supports some of our nation’s most important defense initiatives. Kitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking a Mission Analyst in support of DoW engineering services to work in the Dahlgren, Virginia, area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translates sponsor requirements and questions into actionable analysis plans to evaluate blue system, platform, and force performance in the context of specific missions
- Evaluates system technical data to develop blue and red system and platform representations in M&S tools with well defined traceability to authoritative sources of truth (ASOT)
- Collaborates across warfare centers, engineering teams, and functional disciplines to develop realistic scenarios including blue and red force laydowns
- Supports the V&V of agents and scenarios to ensure analysis results have documented pedigree
- Develops Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Analyzes results of Monte Carlo runs to assess system, platform, or force performance
- Coordinates with Mission Engineers to develop operational, acquisition, or engineering recommendations based on analysis results.
- Develops analysis reports and briefs results and recommendations to Dahlgren, Program Office, and/or Fleet personnel.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD clearance is necessary – U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, Science, or Math field
- Experience with analysis techniques and statistics.
- Experience with analysis tools (i.e. MATLAB) or programming/scripting languages (i.e. Python, R, etc.)
- Ability to develop complex agents and scenarios in M&S tools
- Ability to brief analysis results to sponsors and engineering staffs
Desired Qualifications:
- Two to five years of experience in analysis applied to Navy/Joint warfighting systems
- Experience with mission-level, campaign-level, or wargaming modeling & simulation (M&S) tools (i.e. AFSIM, JTLS-GO, MAST, FACTS)
- Knowledge of Naval Surface Warfare or Missile Defense Agency programs and architectures
- Experience with combat systems engineering activities
- Expertise with MATLAB
- Active TS/SCI or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues

- Some limited travel may be required to support this position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
