The Model Based Systems Engineer role requires candidates to have five (5) or more years of experience supporting requirements development, traceability, architecture development, and verification and validation efforts using Cameo System Modeler or other MBSE software


Additional Requirements & Qualifications

– Five (5) years of experience in engineering and systems engineering

– Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or related technical discipline.

– Active Secret clearance is required – U.S. Citizenship is required.

– Hands-on experience with Cameo System Modeler, MBSE SW

– Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

– Must be a quick learner who adapts easily to frequently changing requirements and thrives in an exciting environment.

Desired Skills

– Knowledge of anti-ship missiles, M&S development

– Active TS/SCI or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

– Effectively contribute on teams developing rigorous analytic solutions

– Exercise independent judgment and work autonomously with minimal supervision

– Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues

Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to:

– Perform MBSE efforts on anti-ship cruise missile test target and associated Modeling and Simulation (M&S) efforts

– Develop system architecture and requirements documentation using MBSE software such as Cameo System Modeler

– Elicit stakeholder needs and requirements from model data

– Work with Program Manager and Missile Engineers to develop, derive, and track requirements.

– Work with developers and missile engineers to develop appropriate verification and validation of requirements

– Develop Systems Engineering documentation and procedures: Systems Engineering Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Risk Management Plan

– Work with program manager and technical leads to track requirements, change requests, configuration control changes, and risks and mitigation plans

– Develop and document system architecture and design from the MBSE models

– Proven oral and written communication skills

Work Posture

– Must be committed to working on-site at the KHT office or government customer facility. Flexible work arrangement may be available as dictated by customer support requirements.


– Some travel may be required dependent on contract requirements
