We have an immediate opening for a Mission/Warfare Analyst to join our team. This position will provide an opportunity to develop the innovative technology that supports some of our nation’s most important defense initiatives. Kitty Hawk Technologies is currently seeking Mission/Warfare Analyst with three (3) or more years of experience in modeling, simulation and data analysis as applied to Department of Defense Systems.
Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to,
– Conduct modeling and analysis using tools such as Fleet Assessment model for the Comparison of Tactical Systems (FACTS), Modeling and Simulation Toolbox (MAST), Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM), Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM), or others as necessary. Training will be provided.
– Work with the community to assess elements, systems, and systems of systems functionality to meet mission needs in multiple mission areas to include air, surface, and missile defense.
– Provide analysis products and presentation that inform and facilitate sponsor decision making
– Project management of small/medium analysis efforts
– Conduct scripting using C++, Python, MatLab, or other modern programming language.
– Utilize various analysis techniques and problem-solving skills to perform professional scientific/engineering work
– Conduct engineering analysis to support modeling and simulation efforts for a variety of projects.
– Provide assessments and recommendations on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
– Review and analyze system requirements and identify impacts to the appropriate requirements and/or design specifications
– Prepare technical presentations, briefings, and papers to address analysis results.
– Prepare required documents for the team.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/oversight in a team environment.
WORK POSTURE
– Must be committed to working on-site at the KHT office or government customer facility. Flexible work arrangement may be available as dictated by customer support requirements.
DESIRED SKILLS
– Knowledge of Naval Surface Warfare programs
-Knowledge of C++, Python, MATLAB or other modern programming language
– Effectively contribute on teams developing rigorous analytic solutions
– Exercise independent judgment and work autonomously with minimal supervision
– Strong written and oral communication skills, the ability and willingness to multi-task, and capable of professionally addressing client questions and issues
– Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Analysis
– Active TS/SCI or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
TRAVEL
Some travel may be required for this position.
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of experience in modeling, simulation and data analysis as applied to Department of Defense systems.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or related technical discipline.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD clearance is a must, may be required get Top Secret clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information.
- Must be a quick learner who adapts easily to frequently changing requirements and thrives in an exciting environment.
Any scripting experience (MATLAB, Python, C++, or other modern programming language)
